Doniselli was born in Milan. In March 1919, veterans from the First World War, three brothers Angelo, Gino and Vito Doniselli left the business of the rest of the family and formed Fratelli Doniselli Snc. The production initially concentrated on work vehicles: pedal vans intended for the transport of all kinds of things, bicycles with very robust frames and large luggage racks. Until the mid-1920s, all the activities took place where the company was born or in what was Via Mazzini. In 1927, the company changed its headquarters, dedicating itself to the production of vans and transport bicycles alongside the production of bicycles, frames. , and special tools for the construction and maintenance of bicycles, intended for bicycle workshops. The bicycles are produced under the Duomo, and Marvel, Svea, and Equador brands for export and for cheaper products. Back then only the vans carried the Doniselli brand. They were set up for all types of activities: for ice cream, for the delivery of bottles, for transporting stairs, glass, foodstuffs, furniture, chests, bread; also for municipal services such as garbage, street washing, watering of gardens, disinfection, road repair. In 1934 the first motor van with Triumph 220 cc engine was built. , will then follow with even less powerful engines NSU, Alpino, Jlo, and the engine will be used with displacements 35 and 48 also for transport bicycles. During the Second World War the war events are tremendous and incendiary bombs completely destroy the headquarters. The will and tenacity of the brothers Angelo Gino and Vito means that in 1946 the activity is completely resumed. The Doniselli brand becomes known at a national competitive level. by linking to cycling which represents the most popular sport of the moment with the racing team Doniselli-Lansetina and Doniselli-Ignis; and Doniselli bicycles obtain numerous sporting results with the Spaniard Miguel Poblet during 1060 and 1961. In the 1960s the production of vans became increasingly marginal compared to transport mopeds and bicycles. In the 70s the market abruptly began to change, highlighting different trends and not easy to interpret, so that Doniselli relied on subcontractors for the construction of her bicycles.
